  1. Set a date. Begin to buy packs instead of cartons before your quit date so that you do not have extra cigarettes available to you after your quit date.
  2. Start to change your habits. Dr. Cram will help with the physical cravings. The hardest part about quitting smoking is the habit of doing it. Start small. Don’t smoke in your car or on the phone. Try doing something different after your meal. This will help you tremendously in the long run. Your smoking triggers will be easier to conquer if you start doing something different before your quit date.   3. Make a list of all of your reasons to quit. Keep this list in a location that you will see it often as a reminder.
  4. Tell your family and friends. It will be much better to receive the support from those close to you and also to have people that can hold you accountable.
  5. Keep busy, plan for the extra time. Just think about it, you will have back the breaks at work, the time it takes you to smoke a cigarette after a meal…what do you plan to do with all of that extra TIME on your hands?
